Submit to college radio
Fifteen to thirty matched college stations pitched from your own inbox with a clean, downloadable version, and every add tracked as a relationship.
What this gets you
College radio music directors exist to find independent music, and adds can chart. You pick the stations that fit, your manager drafts each pitch from your real details, and you send them from your own email in a few clicks.
When to use it
Send 2 to 4 weeks before release, during a semester: mid-September to November and late January to April are the strong windows. Avoid finals in December and May and the breaks. You need a clean version and a private listen link; explicit-only submissions get skipped.
Do it
- Open College Radio and click Start a radio campaign.

- In New radio campaign fill in Track you're pitching (required), Genre (for the subject tag), Release date, a One-line hook such as "For fans of Big Thief and Phoebe Bridgers", a Listen link (private stream) and a Download link (320kbps / WAV) to the clean version. Leave Campaign name blank to have it named after the track. Click Create campaign.
- Click Add stations. In the Station directory filter by Station / school / city, State, Genre / format and country. Each row shows email or site only. Pick 15 to 30 stations that fit your sound, starting with your own state and college towns you could actually play, then click Done.

- Click Draft N pitches. Your manager writes one master pitch from your track, hook and links, then personalizes the greeting, genre fit and local mention per station. Each row turns Draft ready.
- Open a station row and read the Subject and Email. Click Open in your email app to get it pre-filled in your own mailbox, or copy both. Stations marked No email on file get Their submission page instead.

- Send it from your own address, then click I sent it.
- When replies land, click They responded, Added to rotation or Declined, and keep notes in the box, for example "MD asked for a clean edit, follow up next Tuesday". Follow up once after 1 to 2 weeks in the same thread, two follow-ups at most.
- When a station adds you, thank them, tag them on your socials and offer an ID drop or interview. Adds compound with every release.
Let Manny do it
Type "Start a college radio campaign for Midnight" and Manny asks for whatever is missing (genre, date, listen and download links, hook), creates the campaign and opens College Radio. "Find indie rock stations in Ohio" searches the directory. "Draft the radio pitches" drafts them and nothing more. Manny never sends an email; you do, from your own account.
What it cannot do
- Musuni sends nothing. Every email leaves from your own mailbox, and replies arrive there, not here; you update each station's status by hand.
- The directory has 400+ stations, mostly in the US with some in Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. Not every station lists an email; some are website-only submissions.
- Beta: contact names and addresses can go stale between semesters. Glance at the station site before you send.
- 30 stations per campaign. That cap is deliberate; 15 to 30 matched stations beat 200 blind sends.
- No chart reporting or airplay tracking. An add is what the station tells you.
- Without a downloadable clean version with full metadata, most directors will not add you. A streaming link alone is not enough.
